Terms & Conditions
Last updated 18 August 2026. These terms apply to every order placed with UK Reta and must be accepted before purchase.
1. Research use only
All materials supplied by UK Reta are sold strictly as laboratory research chemicals and reference standards. They are not for human consumption, not for veterinary use, and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
No product supplied by UK Reta is a medicine, food, cosmetic, dietary supplement or medical device, and none has been approved by the MHRA, EMA, FDA or any other regulatory body for use in humans or animals.
2. Buyer eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a research institution, laboratory or business with the competence and facilities to handle research chemicals safely.
You confirm that you will not resell, distribute or supply the materials to any person for human or animal ingestion, injection, topical use or any other in-vivo application.
3. Handling and responsibility
You accept full responsibility for the safe storage, handling, use and disposal of all materials supplied, and for compliance with all laws, regulations and institutional policies applicable in your jurisdiction.
UK Reta accepts no liability for any loss, injury, damage or legal consequence arising from misuse of the materials, or from any use outside of controlled laboratory research.
4. Orders, pricing and payment
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. An order is only accepted once we confirm it and issue an invoice. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where we suspect the intended use is for human consumption.
Prices are shown in GBP and include applicable handling. Payment is made by bank transfer against the invoice issued with your order confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Goods are dispatched once cleared funds are received.
5. Shipping and delivery
Delivery estimates are indicative and not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address supplied at checkout. It is your responsibility to provide accurate delivery details and to ensure that importation of the materials is lawful at the destination.
6. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Due to the nature of research chemicals, opened or unsealed items cannot be returned. Claims for damaged, incorrect or missing items must be raised within 7 days of delivery, with photographic evidence where relevant.
Where a claim is accepted we will, at our discretion, replace the item or refund the purchase price. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
7. Product information and specifications
Purity figures, specifications and analytical data are provided in good faith based on batch testing. Minor variation between batches may occur. It is your responsibility to independently verify suitability of any material for your intended research application.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UK Reta's total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the purchase price paid for the goods in question. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential or economic loss.
9. Privacy
We collect only the information needed to process and deliver your order, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
